In order to accelerate the construction of a new development pattern of the whole industry chain of China’s coatings and promote the green, low-carbon and high-quality development of China’s coatings industry, the “2023 China International Coatings Conference” sponsored by the China Coatings Industry Association was held in Jinan, Shandong Province on April 11. More than 1,500 representatives of national ministries, local government leaders, experts and scholars, and paint upstream and downstream industry chain enterprises participated in this industry event. Liu Yanpeng, chairman of GTSS Group, was invited to attend the meeting as the chief supervisor of the Supervisory Board of China Coating Industry Association.

The agenda of the meeting is composed of five parts: China Paint supply and demand exchange meeting, the second Board of Supervisors meeting of the first session of the China Paint Industry Association, the first Executive Council meeting of the ninth session of the China Paint Industry Association, the meeting of the China Paint Industry Association and government leaders, and the 2023 China International Coatings Conference, which promotes information exchange of the whole industry chain. It has laid a solid foundation for advancing China from a paint country to a paint country.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Liu Pujun, president of the China Coating Industry Association, delivered a speech, he said that in the past year, the international situation was complex and volatile, the epidemic was repeatedly delayed in the century, the economic recovery was insufficient, and in the face of multiple difficulties and severe tests, the Chinese coating people calmly responded and bravely moved forward, successfully realized that China had ranked first in the global coating production and consumption country for 14 consecutive years. The total output value of coatings exceeds 450 billion yuan, and the output value of its upstream and downstream radiation-related industries is as high as 4.5 trillion yuan, which fully shows that the coatings industry plays a pivotal role in China’s social and economic development, and has handed over a satisfactory answer to the people and the world’s attention.

At the meeting, Sun Lianying, honorary president of China Coating Industry Association, won the “Paint Industry Lifetime Honor Award” issued by China Coating Industry Association. Sun Lianying has been at the helm of the paint industry for 13 consecutive years since 2009, riding the wind and waves, sailing away. In 2009, China’s paint industry surpassed the United States for the first time to become the world’s largest paint production and consumption country. Since the beginning of this year, under the leadership of Sun Lianying, the China Coating Industry Association has promoted the industrial structure adjustment and green and low-carbon development of the industry, and promoted the coating industry to enter the fast track of steady development. In the century-long history of the development of China’s coating industry, this is a brush worthy of heavy color record.
